Once all votes are counted, the winner will be notified and publicly announced on this webpage.

Annually, we open nominations to the public, encouraging them to nominate individuals or organizations within their community who are in need of construction services. Past recipients have included those facing hardships, military veterans, first responders, and underinsured homeowners. The public nominates, votes, and, after careful evaluations, the final recipients are selected. A celebratory event accompanies the project’s installation phase, inviting the homeowners and their neighbors to participate.
Yes, each recipient selected by Bluewater Building Company’s community initiative receives 100% free construction services. We are fortunate to have the support of national and local sponsors, including GAF Roofing Systems, ABC Supply Co, Lifetime Tool and others, who contribute to the funding of our community initiative. The donated materials from sponsors are utilized for the construction projects, allowing us to offer our services without cost to the recipients.
Anyone is eligible to submit a nomination; there are no restrictions.
Self-nominations are accepted, but we encourage participants to stay true to the mission of our program by nominating deserving members of their community.

Nominees must own a single family dwelling home located in the Southside or Peninsula of Hampton Roads.
Nominations are accepted from February 15th, with the deadline on May 31st.
Anyone may vote; there are no restrictions on eligibility.
